People Helping People in Hernando County is an interfaith community established to provide food, clothing, and other basic necessities to those individuals in Hernando County, Florida,  who are hungry or struggling in today's difficult economic environment. 

PHP offers targeted programs to accomplish its mission:

Sunday Blessings:  People Helping People serves a free meal every Sunday at the Senior Citizens' Center of Hernando County in Spring Hill, FL.  Groceries. clothing, toiletries, and social service referrals are also available for our guests.

Weekend Blessings:  In cooperation with the Hernando County School District, Hernando County Head Start, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hernando County, Weekend Blessings provides weekend nourishment for over 600 needy Hernando County students who would not otherwise have sufficient food for the weekend.

Senior Blessings:  This program provides supplemental groceries to low-income seniors living in subsidized housing in Brooksville and Spring Hill.

Neighborhood Blessings:  Our newest feeding program serves the homeless in Hernando County by providing food, shelter and basic necessities.

HELP Center  PHP has acquired a building and is working on developing a multi-service community resource center serving the hungry and homeless.  The HELP Center will have a working commercial kitchen for food production and training, day storage, mail, showers, and access to an array of service providers, among other resources.
