We Need Your Help
VOLUNTEER
Please let us know what you can do. Our volunteers, on average spend 2-5 hours each week helping us help people who are very much in need of a hot meal and clean clothes. Can you volunteer some of your time this week?
We have various needs for volunteers both at our Sunday meals and during the week. Volunteers are needed for meal preparation, serving, pick up and delivery, fundraising, advertising and publicity, and community relations. Please click Volunteer Your Time in the sidebar at right if you can help.
DONATE
Both monetary donations and "in-kind" donations are needed to sustain People Helping People in its mission to provide food and necessities to our brothers and sisters in need. To make a monetary donation in support of People Helping People, please click Donate Funds in the sidebar at left. If you can donate food, clothing, toiletries, blankets, sleeping bags or other items, please click Donate Food, Clothing. People Helping People is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation, and all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent provided by law.
SPONSOR A MEAL
We have an ongoing need for Sunday meal sponsors. Individuals, organizations, or restaurants who wish to provide a Sunday meal, please click Sponsor a Meal in the sidebar at left.
ORGANIZA A FOOD DRIVE
Food Drives can significantly reduce the financial requirements needed for our food pantry and our Weekend Blessings program. Individuals or organizations who wish to conduct food drives for PHP should click Organize a Food Drive in the sidebar at left for further information.
Be A Sustaining Donor!
People Helping People now provides the opportunity for its supporters to contribute with regular monthly donations through automatic withdrawal from their checking or savings accounts. If you wish to participate in this program, please complete an AUTHORIZATION FOR DIRECT DEPOSIT/PAYMENT form and mail to PHP at the address indicated on the form.
Authorization for ACH withdrawals may be terminated by program participants at any time upon written notification to PHP. The amount donated may be changed at any time by submitting a new authorization form.

Our Meal Sponsors
Each week a different member of our community supplies a meal for the guests who attend People Helping People's Sunday Blessing. Since 2009, People Helping People has discovered that the residents, businesses, organizations and clubs in Hernando County are very generous and giving. Each week, dinner guests receive a nutritious hot meal, including a drink, a salad, a hot main course and a dessert, starting at 4:00 PM. Many of the guests place a donation in the jar at the check-in table, while others help with preparing, serving, and clean-up. Due to the generosity of the citizens of Hernando County, we are helping take a bite out of hunger in the community.
