The building at 1396 Kass Circle soon will house Hernando County's only community resource center or HELP Center.  Construction is underway on the HELP Center which will also serve as PHP's permanent headquarters.

Since the property was purchased in 2015, PHP has conducted numerous fundraisers for construction, raising nearly $300,000, but still lacks funds for parking lot repaving, furniture, equipment and exterior paint. 

When completed, this site will allow PHP to continue its outreach programs and broaden its assistance to those who are hungry, impoverished and lack necessities for successful living.  The HELP CENTER will provide a place where an impoverished individual can get a bite to eat, take a shower, receive a clean change of clothes and then be referred to agencies in our area. In short, the HELP CENTER on Kass Circle will provide:

• Resources to address hunger, poverty, unemployment in Hernando County
• A “hand-up” approach to end hunger, not just a “hand-out”
• Access to benefits, educational opportunities, job training and placement
• Help to improve the neighborhood and the quality of life for citizens in the area
• Expanded feeding programs to include food safety, nutrition and work experience
• Outreach services to answer questions, provide tips, referrals, and support
• An opportunity for people to help themselves to become productive members of society
